Happy New Year!

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy new year.  Thanks to everyone who came out to shows and purchased CDs -- or just stopped by the site and checked out my music -- over the past year.  Your support means more than you can imagine.  Over the past year I've had a chance to meet tons of great musicians and music fans and reconnect with a lot of old high school and college friends and it's made playing out a really rewarding experience.

I'm looking forward to hopefully many more shows coming up in 2010.  Starting with Jan. 15 (which is really only 2 weeks away already) when I'll be playing Fergie's and sharing the stage with my ex-bandmates Lotus Hill as well as singer/songwriter Susie Steen (who also happens to play in the great Philly rock band Ike).  Some additional shows are in the works to be announced at a later date. 

Also, thanks to The Natural Result, John Shaughnessy and Brian Mullins, all of whom came out and played amazing sets at the last Fergie's show in November.  The band and I also had a fun show at the good old Rusty Nail in Ardmore in December, where we met The Disgruntled Sherpa Project, Lira and got to hang out with The Natural Result guys again.

The band has been playing a number of new tunes recently, so you can expect to hear some new stuff when you come to see us.  I am hoping to do some recording soon as well.

Jango.com, New Songs to Download, etc.

I recently found out that my music is being featured on www.jango.com, which is a customizable streaming radio station (in the vein of Pandora.com), that allows you to create stations based on a song or artist.  You can set up a "Dylan McGuire" station and the website will recommend tunes in the same vein (I did this myself and got "La Vida Loca" by Ricky Martin, which totally cracked me up.  The rest of the songs were a little more on point...)

I also updated the Music Downloads section with some stuff off the first album "Better Days".  I am also working on doing some booking, so visit the "Shows" page for upcoming events.

Jitters, Aug. 7, Phillies, more to come

Just a quick update.  The Phillies have been featuring a lot of my material during the broadcasts on CSN, which is really exciting.  If you are checking out my site for the first time, please feel free to go to my free downloads page and also sign up for my mailing list below.  I'm going to be posting some of my material from my previous album "Better Days" back when the band was called Broken Jones.

Also, the Dylan McGuire Band is going to be playing Jitters on Friday, August 7th from 9:30-1:30.  This is going to be a full band show and we're looking forward to getting back there.  I'm currently booking shows for the fall, so more to come on that... Thanks for stopping by the site...

Summer '09

Thanks to everyone who's come out to our last two shows at Jitters in West Chester.  It's really great to be back in the W.C. (West Chester) and we'll be playing again on Aug. 7th.  Also, please mark your calendars for our return show to the Burlap & Bean on July 10th.

Also, I'm really psyched to announce that the Comcast Network has been featuring songs from my CD during the highlights section of Philadelphia Phillies games.  I'm currently offering a few songs for free download from my music page.  Also, check out the CD ordering section below if you'd like a copy of the CD.

Spring '09

Thanks to everyone who came out the Burlap & Bean show in January.  It was a huge success and we'll be playing there again on June 5th with our friends The Nerve again.  We are also playing Jitters Sports Bar in West Chester on April 3rd.  This was one of the first bars I played back in college so it will be a homecoming of sorts.  Also, we're returning to Mojo 13 in Wilmington on April 16th.  Check the shows page for details. 

Otherwise I've been busy writing new songs for what I hope will be the next album.  I haven't made any firm plans for recording yet.  And I am pleased to announce that my music has been accepted into the Pump Audio catalog, thus making it available for licensing to Film and TV soundtracks.  There is a link below for more info.
